Ellen O’Brien

Ellen (she/her) is a Guringai (Garigal/Walkeloa) writer and editor living on Bidjigal land.

Over the past 6 years, Ellen has worked as a community lawyer, writer, editor, researcher and facilitator. From 2018 to 2019, Ellen was a facilitator for the Feminist Killjoys Reading Group based on Darug land. She has also conducted research for It's a Long Story, a podcast produced at the Sydney Opera House as part of the Talks and Ideas program, and worked as a junior editor at the Sydney Review of Books.

Ellen has had her writing published in Sydney Review of Books, Meanjin, Overland, Rabbit, Cordite and un Magazine. To see a full list of publications, click here.
